Steven Williams, MD, is medical director of Greentree Medical Associates. From July 1991 to September 1993 and again from September 2001 to August 2002, Williams was an internist at the Hôpital Albert Schweitzer, a 150-bed rural hospital in Haiti. His responsibilities included both inpatient and outpatient care of patients with diseases includding TB, HIV, and the typical tropical and medical conditions of poverty. He continues to serve on the fundraising committee of the Friends of Hôpital Albert Schweitzer and is a board member of the Pittsburgh Refugee Center, which assists in resettlement of refugees in Pittsburgh.
